Yet again, bed-head prevails.
Yesterday a cute boy gave my his number on a napkin. I met him for coffee last night and we made out a bit… He’s really quirky like me, and he likes me. This feels good, summer romance? I’m up for that, always wanted one of those.
i had a nap before greys anatomy, listening to zola jesus. i woke up during the song avalanche, turned off my itunes and turned on the tv and guess what… avalanche by zola jesus was playing during the opening monologue. then later i went back to watch glee which i recorded and i was having a pee break and singing ‘for the longest time’ by billy joel in the bathroom. then they sang ‘for the longest time’ by billy joel to end the episode. what is happening, please stop world, i’m freaking out AHHHHH

I was invited to go out with the other delivery guys for beers tonight. This is the first time I have been asked to come. It will be interesting to see some of them out of the uniform and relaxed. I’m just a little bit worried that I’ll have a couple drinks and start blabbering about things in my life that I probably shouldn’t. I’m sure it will be a lot of fun being one of the guys for a night.

I am moving into a downtown apartment this month. It’s pretty adorable and my bedroom has wood paneling walls. So when I spotted this needlepoint artwork at the thrift shop, I thought how amazing it would look hanging above my bed, next to a fake house plant. When I went to go take a photo of it, my cat had already adopted it as a bed.
as i wrapped her gifts, i started to cry. i’ve always liked to give really thoughtful gifts, and i know that the tear stained box is going to be just as valuable as the items within it. i know the next couple days are going to be filled with so many hugs. i don’t know if i’ve ever had someone so important in my life before. my birthday is tomorrow, and on saturday we are having a space cat double-birthday dance party.

When someone brings up the idea of a road trip, I almost always do the irresponsible thing and drop everything that I’m doing and hop in the car. This photo was taken on Queen West in Toronto, me and a couple friends decided to spend the day shopping and eating and hugging and laughing in the big city.
It’s days like this one that remind me of the power of friendship. When you can spend 45 minutes in a sex shop, open up about your sex life, and feel confident in the bonds you are making. I ended up buying the coffee table book for i <3 boy.
We found an amazing Ethiopian restaurant and tried as much new food as we could. There were chats about our futures, and imaginative business schemes. Also, being a goofy small town kid seemed to create hilarious interactions with shop owners.
All in all, it was just a sunny day full of feel-good times. And when Ash posted all the photos from this day, I nearly cried.
